Privacy Policy
Cal Underground Inc (“we,” “us”) is an underground construction contractor based in Waterford, California. This policy explains what happens to the information you send us through this website.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form, we receive whatever you entered:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you provide one
- The city or job address you enter
- The project type you select and any message you write
Our server also records the date and time of the submission, and the IP address the request came from. The IP address is used only to rate-limit automated spam and is discarded after one hour.
What we don't collect
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We don’t run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or any similar tracking. We don’t build profiles of visitors, and we don’t track you across other websites.
How we use it
To respond to your request — to call or email you back, prepare a quote, schedule a site visit, and keep track of the job as it progresses. That's it. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Where it's stored
Submissions are stored in a private database and are readable only by authorized Cal Underground staff, who sign in with a Google account on an approved list. We use the following service providers, all located in the United States:
- Vercel — website hosting and the server that receives the form
- Neon — the database where submissions are stored
- Resend — sends us the notification email when a form comes in
- Google — sign-in for our internal dashboard, and the web fonts this page uses. Loading those fonts means your browser contacts Google, which sees your IP address.
These providers process the information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions for as long as they're useful for the job and our records — generally up to seven years for completed work, consistent with contractor recordkeeping practice. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information you sent us. Email or call using the details below and we’ll take care of it.
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information a business has collected about you, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we never have.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
